It would certainly help if your case had great airflow and alot of fans, the card itself should run fine, anything under 85 degrees for a GPU is considered safe territory

Yep, MSI one was out of stock at newegg. Dropping the 8350 for a big downgrade in the A10 is a bit silly, there's barely any upgrade path with the FM2 socket in case op wants to upgrade to a much better GPU down the line.

If you don't mind the 7870 XT running fairly warm, it's the best bang for buck right now as it performs close to the 7950 but can be found for less than the price of a 7850.

He doesn't need these for LoL and SF2.

At that price point why not? you could get a 7770 for about $50 less but what if op decides to play modern games one day? it would cost more to upgrade then than to get a decent card right off the bat. Think long term benefits over short term needs.
