hi. could any one help me to overclock my cpu and ram plz.here is my rig

CPU: Intel Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 2GB (2x1GB) Corsair TwinX DDR2 XMS2 Dominator, PC2-8500 (1066Mhz)
Hard Drive: 150 GB velociraptor
Video Card: 512MB HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium 64bit
Motherboard: abit ix38 quad gt
Computer Case: zalman gt1000

my memory runs at stock speed (800Mhz) at the moment.
i want to get my cpu up to ~3.2 ghz and would like memory to run at ~1066 Mhz.
cooling is not a problem,ive got zalman 9700nt heatsink .

If you can't read the guides and understand.

Then your alturnative is to check back daily and wait on someone to post a response that has the same setup as you.

It's not that hard to understand unless your gonna be an extreme overclocker.

You're expecting to find a guide with the same processor/mobo/ram as you have. Expecting a guide that give precise guidelines as to where and how the overclocking should and shouldn't be done and I think that's naive.

Overclocking, above all, is about learnign - not performance. Trial and error. Pushing parts to work harder then they were intended, and to do it well.

Take the time to read, enjoy and absorb what people have posted, not only on what exactly it is you're looking for - No one can teach you how to overclock if you arent whilling to take the time and learn.

ok.ive set cpu fsb at 400 mhz x8 multipl. motherbords fsb runs at 1600mhz now.but ive droped ram down to 800mhz thou. if i up ram to ~1066 mhz,will it increase performance?
