Im trying to remove my graphics card from this oooldd 775 motherboard. Ive tried looking up how to remove it and some people say theres some locking mechanism or just pull really hard. I cant seem to find any sort of locking mechanism. I dont see any screws holding the card either. I tried pulling VERY hard lifting the computer off the floor and it still wouldn't come out. Any suggestions?

That's it exactly - push the little blue piece away from the card and slot, and it should release the card from the slot. Don't push too hard if you have any intention of re-using the board, as it might just snap off.

Im trying to push that little blue piece aside but it wont budge. I will be reusing this old computer. I am giving to my mother so i dont think she'll need the pcie slots

Ok, the reason I was asking is because some motherboard manufacturers can get creative with the releases for the PCI Express x16 slots. In your case, removal will be just like Essdub8 posted. Hold in the tab while lifting up to remove the card.

It also feels as if there are a few screws holding the back of the card but i just dont see any. As i said in my last reply, the blue bit wont move.

My problem is similar to this post.http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/357380-33-need-removing-graphics-card i think the little switch may be broken and i feel like something else is holding it down but i dont see any other screws
