Hello if anybody is reading this! I'am a newcomer to pc building and that stuff, so please go easy on me if I have said something wrong or something like that. I just have a question, because I'am unable to find out for my self, and that is if my motherboard is compatible with an I5 7600K-Kaby Lake CPU. My motherboard is an ASUS B85M-G, I know that it's old, but I just upgraded the RAM, so I didn't buy a new motherboard. I have an Intel Pentium G3250 CPU, and have problems with running some games because of the low amount of cores. But is my ASUS B85M-G compatible with an Intel I5 7600K-Kaby Lake CPU? Thank you for answering.

Here are the supported CPUs for your motherboard.
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/B85MG/HelpDesk_CPU/

An i5-4690 or i7-4790 would be a huge upgrade for you. If you do decide to go that route make sure you have at least BIOS 0904 before removing your old CPU.

Edit: No, skylake is not compatible either. Skylake and Kaby Lake use Socket 1151. Your motherboard is Socket 1150.
