I just recently purchased a PC for mostly gaming. I know decent amount about the guts of a PC except for graphics cards. Don't know a thing. SO when I finally downloaded Skyrim and Need For Speed I was severly disappointed in the way my Intel R HD Graphics card i think its called preformed. So im looking to upgrade. My max price is about 150-175 dollars. So could anyone recommend a card that could run games like BF3 and skyrim well? Thank you!

What I know is that it has 6 gigs of ram with 500 gigs of hard drive. And im trying to figure out what psu right now but im having an absurd amount of trouble.

okay so it says max output is 300W and it says like 12v i think

Whoa. Ok, you'll need a new power supply to run the new card. At least a high efficiency 450-500w, if not more.

alright, how much is a decent power supply gonna drop me?

Something like this would do well:

Really, anything in that wattage range made by Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, XFX, Super Flower... between $50 and $80.

okay now we are not here to criticize OP, only to help..

Dude..... You cant possibly tell me that a gaming PC is shipped with a 300 watt PSU and Intel HD.

just relax stay on topic

btw srsly this is degrading......human stupidity....hes been cheated.......i bet you he went to best buy..............

I'd go with the 650 ti and new psu. 650 ti has the best price/performance of any gpu, at least when i purchased it for my pc. I can run almost anything at highest settings, sometimes i have to turn down AA and fancy lighting effects.

just get a 760 for 249.99 :)

Cause spending $100 over budget plus an even nicer PSU is a great idea. If you found some good deals on a nice PSU, you could get both a new PSU and the 650ti for 200, maybe even 175 if you get super lucky, but probably not.

A 650 ti boost just cant do it much longer. We have more demanding games and more need for faster clocks, faster VRAM, faster Memory bus'es.... tahts why a 760 is a great investment. he SHOULD return his pc and build one...lololol..
