Question Need help with Aqualis water cooling system

Dear all

I was gifted a machine with non functioning Aqualis water cooling system. After unmounting it from the machine I have observed that the cable from the processor mount is severed, seemingly it is missing a piece. I would appreciate any kind of directions in how to fix this, because my experience with water cooling systems is quite limited. The photo below contains all the pieces that I was able to unmount and identified as a part of the water cooling mechanism.

Thanks a lot!

if you want to use the PC the quick answer would be to get a AIO cooler, if you want the custom loop to work, I know very little about those but I'm sure there are expert's on here that could help with that

Thanks for the reply 😀 I want to fix the cooler, it seems to be an intriguing piece of machinery.
probably best wait for someone who knows what they're talking about then :) but you can test the pump, it takes molex power, just power it on the bench with a psu and see if it runs, if it does and you want to use it my guess would be you'd have to drain and refill it because the liquid will be old, it should be replaced at least once a year

on a AIO the pump is usually on the cpu, here the pump is at the bottom of the reservoir, so (shot in the dark) at a guess the broken wire is probably just RGB

Hm, thanks for the insight... considering this I think the pump is broken, because I just tried exactly what you recommended by connecting to the wires properly and there was no huffing and puffing... It will have a proper funeral.

wait for someone who knows more, what's that black thing with the metal disk on the back that's connected to the wires, some kind of controller maybe? (showing my lack of knowledge) also I would have thought the pump should vibrate or something if it's powered, it could be air locked or blocked depending on how long the systems been left unused, I wouldn't give up quite so soon, it looks like the making of an interesting project

edit, is there anything on the pump/reservoir that says a make or model?
