I have Intel i5 4590, Asus Strix GTX 960 2gb, and 8gb of ram. And I hear everything saying they can max out Metal gear solid 5 and play it at 60fps on gtx 960. If I max out on my pc, I go below 60fps. It most stays at 50-55 fps and during intense moments, it dips to like 45fps. I didn't overclock my cpu or gpu. And I know gtx 960 is not really a card that can max out everything but mgs5 is not very demanding game and it has been well optimized for PCs. Everything is updated as well. Is there something that I did wrong that is causing performance lag? Thanks

Firstly see if you are running the game on boderless window, had a gigabyte g1 960 with same problem, fps suffers terribly for me so I switched to full screen and removing v-sync, this worked for me.

NO. 2 i dont really know if this is valid but i've seen many users of the asus 960 complain about stuttering and screen tearing in this game and few others, but other 960's i.e. the windforce, msi evga models work fine, i'm not sure if this is real but it could be possible.

I believe I have. I automatically download updates and drivers for the gtx 960 through Nvidia experience and the updates from Steam.
