Shutting off like that suggests something is overheating.
First check the CPU cooler connections and that the fan is turning, if that seems OK, boot the system but enter the BIOS screen, either there or in the BIOS options you'll be able to monitor the CPU temperature, leave it running and see how hot it gets.

so i checked it got to 72c pretty quick and around 80c it would shut down, i checked all the conections to the h100i v2 looked at the quick guide i connected everything too where it needed to be which was the cpu fan header and the usb2 header. and i also contacted corsair and they asked me to do the same and i still got the same results. You the h100i is defective?

Well, it's definitely overheating, it shouldn't be getting to 80C just on the BIOS screen.
Yep, the pump should be connected to the motherboard CPU header, the fans connected to the pump body and the USB to...Well, a USB header.
Once again, boot the system and enter BIOS, there check the fan settings, looking for the CPU fan speed, if it's showing low or zero speed try setting it manually to maximum.
Is the cooler pump working? You should feel a slight vibration with the system running and probably a little noise as it spins.

i put to max on manual i couldn't really tell if it was making any noise because all i could here was the fans, and also couldn't tell if was vibrating because it felt like the fans were the ones making all the noise. it still overheated even after i put to max settings.

Yep, it sounds defective, what RPM did/does the CPU fan show at max speed?
And just disconnect the system fans to shut them up, it won't do any harm at this stage.
And don't feel insulted when I ask this but did you remove the little sticker/cover on the base of the pump before installation?

Hey coozie7 replying back to you, don’t im not getting offended or anything I just need the help. I took off everything, but I didn’t see anything underneath the pump or any plastic I also took it off and reapplied new thermal paste. And I have not tried to discount the fans.
