USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Bf3 MAX,

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: I7 950 2.7 GHZ, Win7, few 120mm fans, 5gb ram.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg.

OVERCLOCKING:Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes

A single GTX580 is a much superior card, that will need a 600w psu with 42a on the 12v rails plus one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI-E power lead.

With two gts250 cards you probably have that.

Here is a good one that is priced well below your budget $475:

GTX570 in sli will have better benchmarks, and fit your budget, but I really doubt you need that unless you are running a 2560 x 1600 monitor.
For sli GTX570, you are looking at a 850w psu.

How would i check my PSU? havent looked at it in a while.

And i just wanna run BF3 better than a sli gts 250 would. 1920x1080

Every psu has a data plate which tells the brand/model/wattage, and most importantly the +12v amps.

If your psu came with four 6 pin pci-e connectors, it should be strong enough.
If it came with only one, not likely.
If it came with two, 50/50.
