Please keep your new build discussion to 1 thread.
So i am going to buy my first gaming PC but i don't know what parts to get and need your help. My budget is 1300 for the PC itself. I plan to game in 1440p and 1080p high- ultra settings. I will have 2 monitors so u know what kind of power you'll need from gpu (monitors will be 144hz and 27inc). I am ok with either a ryzen or intel cpu but definitely a Nvidia gpu. I plant to game and stream and maybe make videos but idk, for sure gaming. Please send me a build so i have a layout to look at and find the parts that i want. I plant to play MW, Warzone, BF5, Metro, New Dying light, Far Cry, and other games. Let me know if you have any more questions so you can help me. And future-proofing it is a must so i wont have to upgrade soon (1-3 years)

Solution
Well for my parts i haven't ordered anything because i like to get everything at one time or i like to order all of my parts once. Ive decided on the 3700x but i heard the intel 10600k is out and it might be better but idk. For the mobo I'm getting some random msi gaming max for now until the b550 comes out then il return the mobo then and buy the b550. Ram is trident z rgb 3600 cl16 16gb. Case is the h710 or meshify c when it is back in stock. Psu i yet to be determined because they are all out of stock or on back order. And the gpu is the rtx 2070s or the rtx 2060s depending on if i want to buy cheap now and sell it later on for the 3070s or the 3080ti. Please can you clarify if the 10600k is a better deal than the 3700x

No...

So i have all of my other parts figured out except my psu. Due to covid a lot are out of stock or on backorderr and it sucks, I want to build my first gaming PC so bad but cant due to one damn part that i can get. My build will have a 3700x and a rtx 2060s that i will upgrade to a 3070s or 3080 when it comes out. Please can u link a good and efficient and trusted brand psu that is either semi or fully modular and is above 600w. Ive always been told that EVGA and CORSAIR are the best brands for psu because they are most known nd bought from. Please link a good psu for me my build has 400w consumption.

Below is my last and final build i am going to go with. Due to covid some parts are not available so what i have below is what is in stock. The 2060s is a place holder for a 3070s when it comes out or a 3080ti or 3080, depending on what i can afford when the time comes, so is the mobo, its a place holder until the b550 comes out on June 16th. Then i will return in and buy the b550 hence why everything is from amazon, their customer service is better than new eggs and their return policy is stupid friendly, i could return anything i have in my parts list without question. Please what do you think of my build for 1440p and 1080p gaming (gpu and mobo will change) give my our opinions or advice and i will take it in consideration. Feel free to say what you feel. Thanks.

After looking on amazon my gpu is now scheduled to arrive on june 12th so since i am going to upgrade to the 3000 series when it comes out i think i am going to get a 1660ti and hold out with it until ampere comes out. What do you guys think?

Not sure how good buy Ampere would be at least at beginning.
I'm getting by with 3700x and Rx 570 just fine in any game at 1008p. They are cheap and at least at par with 1660.

Don't get 970 Evo, it's too expensive. The 2060 S is a bit too much for a placeholder card, I'd look into a 1660 S or heck even an RX 580.

As for the PSU, a CX seems a bit low for a high end PC. But with PSU prices getting ridiculous these days I can see why.

Yes i have decided on a 1660ti as a place holder until the 3000 series comes out, I think it is worth it since the leaks convey the cards will be a power house. And yes the psu is on the cheap side but i think i can hold out with it until this blows down and stuff is back in stock. I think i would just return it every month on amazon until a gold rated evga or corsair psu comes in stock at a good price. Now for the ssd what do you recommend ? I looked everywhere and every single person was recommending a Samsung evo over a wd blue or sn95 or whatever the name is. Idk what to buy i don't wanna cheap out on a brand and end up losing all of my data later on.

I actually am gonna go with a 970 evo ssd 1tb then later on buy a 500gb nvme or more and transfer the os onto there. What do you think of this idea? Its only 150 for a 1tb ssd

1660TI. Buy the 1660 Super instead. No one buys the 1660TI anymore.

Uh, no. That's a worse idea. This is 1 TB NVMe drive for $140. They are as good as Samsung endurance and performance wise and this whole "Samsung is better" notion was true but no longer true. Remember, the SSD you intended to buy was the 970 Evo, not Evo Plus or Pro.

I agree.

I agree.
I am going to go with the wd SN750 1tb because it looks better and i think it performs better than the one you linked

Here is what i think i am going to go with, a SN750 500gb nvme ssd and a tb 970 evo ssd? They both equal about the price of one 1tb nmve from Samsung. What do you think?

Because the 1660 super and 1660TI are almost identical in performance but the TI is 80 more dollars. Don't pay 80 bux extra to get 2 more fps. :)

Damn your right lmao, i only plan to play warzone, mc, fn, and maybe fallout but the gtx 1660 super ms gaming x is only 274 much cheaper than the best buy ti. Plus i only need this to hold out for like 3-4 months so this is a good idea, don't you agree?

Sorry for the late response. I don't like that idea either, the SN750 is barely faster than the 970 Evo, which means it's also barely faster than the SN550. I would either go crazy with a 970 Pro, or stay with something that is fairly cheap like the SN550.
