need help with my second build

Ok i finished putting all my components together but something is wrong it turn on for a second the powers of again i though it might have been a dead psu but i did the psu test with 2 pins and its fullu functioning i don't even know were to begin know my specs

motherboard-gigabyte.g1 assasin killer 2 socket 2011
cpu-i7 3930k
ram-8gb crucial ballistix tracer
cpu cooler- h100i
psu- ocz 1000w 80 plus gold certfied
gpu-gtx 670

has anyone got any ideas to help me

Try starting with the absolute bare minimum. Just 1 dimm, no hard dis or ssd, no DVD drive, etc.

If you can, test the PSU in a different PC. That it turns on with the 2 pin test doesn't mean it's good.

If that doesn't work either, I'd say the motherboard is faulty.

Check that your CPU is seated properly on the motherboard, you should at least get to the BIOS setup. Otherwise I agree that the motherboard is faulty.

Could be shorting out. Try and run the bare minimum on a breadboard or something non conductive.

tried a different psu sure enough it's working, luck of the draw i guess well looks like i have to send ait back which is going to be a pain

one thing i don't understand is why would it work when i tried the 2 pin connector test baffled?

because that doesnt require the amount of load that your components would put on it.

so it was just a bad psu i got i guess then
