Need help with picking new parts!

Below is a link that my friend built made for me. Looking to upgrade my computer and need thoughts on these parts. I already have a Corsair GS 700 power supply not sure if this is good enough to handle these parts if not please add one. If you could please fix anything wrong. If you guys know a better case for around $15-$30 more that would be fine! Also if you have any better MOBO please replace! My max is like $950
Also if you do any better opinions please add the part and its price please and thank you!! 😀

Very good build, but you should drop the 212 EVO. That processor cannot be overclocked, and therefore wouldnt need it. Looks good otherwise, very capable and solid build 😀.

So should I put in the extra like 40 to get the 4790k? And is there a better MOBO I can get instead? Also should I get a Nvidia or Asus for the graphics card? I hear this one from EVGA isn't too good any thoughts?

I always recommend the R9 390 over the GTX 970. More likely to be a better long term buy.
