Need help with printer on Windows 10?

A family member has given me an Hp Photosmart 7520 Printer. It says it's compatible for windows xp to windows 7. I have windows 10. The printer came with a installation disc which I inserted into my laptop, a message popped up telling me to visit this link ( http://www.hp.com/go/windows8 ) in order to configure or download the things I needed for the printer to be compatible with my laptop.

Which isn't a valid link and on top of that I don't even have windows 8. Is there anything I can do to get this printer to work with my laptop? Is this printer just never compatible with windows 10 or is there a link or update I can find and download to make this printer work with my laptop? Thanks in advance for any help!

Just download the drive and install from the following link.http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL43773/mp-108670-3/PS7520_1315-1.exe

Alternative method. Still you can download and install your older driver version in windows 10 by suing compatibility option.


right-click the driver software -> select properties - > select compatibility -> now run as windows 8.1 or 7.

now it can work in you current os.
