hello everyone i have problem which needs an answer or solution. so my problem is that at my school students have put passwords on the hard drives and no one can access them and the teacher in charge has given me one and if i unlock this hard drive i get to keep it and he also needs the knowledge in case of it happening again.

Hey there, hexogb.

Basically you could try low level formatting them or "nuking" them with 3rd party software which would wipe all the data. If you are successful with that, you should be able to initialize, partition and format them and have them as fresh new drives.
However, I doubt that anyone here would help with breaking a password since this is against the community's rules. Sorry about that, it's just because there's no way of knowing for sure if those drives and data belong to you or if you should have access to them.

Hope that helps.

I tried using dban but my bios prioritises the harddrive and bios passwords before you can use a boot device.
