Question Need help with Wii!!

We recently bought a Wii off of FB marketplace but when its booted up, whenever you try to launch an app or disc off of the main menu, the menu itself switches constantly between apps and you cannot launch anything. It struggles with the initial "press A" menu which only allows you through if you remove and replace batteries in controller although controller can turn console on and off using power button. No issues otherwise with controller function! I also cannot use the keyboard aspect on the Mii avatar set up as yhe second you enter a letter, is automatically deletes it again. Its seems glitchy AF! I have tried a factory reset, system update, replaced controller batteries and checked motion sensor but only thing that changes it is a hard reset which only works 1x before error happens again. Anyone have any advice please!? I can send a video of the app switching error if helpful.

Controller probably has a stuck button that gives out commands non stop.
