My power supply is the Corsair HX1050, and I just got a new SSD for my pc. The problem is that I dont have any cables to power the SSD. The only cables connected to the power supply is the main motherboard connection, the cpu fan, and the graphics card. I also don't know which cables I need to get to power the SSD. Any help would be appreciated.

think Corsair publishes a list for compatible modular PSUs and cabling - it's their Type-3 IIRC - even retailers like Best Buy or Newegg have these (or the "custom" versions), they're probably still in the box or cable bag that came with the PSU

Where did you get the PSU?
It had SATA power cables originally.

If you did not get them, the only source is direct from Corsair. Modular PSU cables are NOT universal.

So I looked at Corsair's website and found this cable, https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CP-8...=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B01N7HEVM7 . If I just plug it into a 6 pin sata slot on my power supply and into my SSD, it should work right?
