[SOLVED] need new pc

Hello,

I need a new desktop-PC.
the hardware would actually need to be more server-oriented.

I would use it to host a 24/7 ftp-server for my media and it would also have to be able to screenhost ( local VNC and parsec) while running the ftp-server and some games.

The games i want to play on this PC are ps3-era games.
They just have to run i dont need fancy graphics.

I have a dedicated gaming pc but the total price was 3000 euro's and i dont want to strain it with stupid tasks.
So high end gaming performance is not what i am looking for but more storage space and 1 fast hdd and a cheap ssd for the OS.

The motherboard wouldn't have to be fancy. It just needs the connections for a videocard.
And it would need expendable storage.
It would also need hdmi or displayport. bluetooth is optional.

The processor and videocard would just have to be able to handle simple hosting and gaming.

I am not looking for performance but reliability.
My budget is also up to around a 1000 euro's but less is better if anyone knows of any builds or desktops that can do this for around 600 euro's that would be awesome.


I would also rather pay 100 euro more for a new pc then a 2 year old model that was sitting in the store for ages. I could build it myself as well, but i dont mind buying a premade model if it will do what i want.

All suggestions are welcome.
I can build the pc, but am not up to speed with current specs so i can't choose hardware.

ftp users would be only around 5-10 and not always at the same time. But the transfers are big files so they sometimes take days.

Currently, there are two platforms, lga1151(300 series) and am4.
If it's just basic gaming, you can pick up a amd ryzen 2400g(4 core 8 thread), it has a built in graphics(vega 11) that should handle older titles. Pair it with a well reviewed b450 or x470 motherboard and 2x4gb(or 2x8gb) ddr4 3000 or ddr4 3200 ram, you should be golden.
general guess ,

though if 4 cores/8threads, is not enough, a ryzen 1600/2600 can do, just need a video card to pair with since no integrated graphics. Perhaps a gtx 1050 or rx 570

there are b450 and x470 boards out there with both hdmi and displayport.
