Hi all, i'm looking at ordering a new gaming PC and was hoping for some feed back.

My budget is between £900 - £1100

This is what I've been considering and was just wanting to know what improvements could be made to either lower the cost or improve functionality.

Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4770 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache

ASUS® Z87-A: ATX, USB3.0, SATA6GB/S, SLi, XFIRE

8GB KINGSTON HYPERX BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2400MHz X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)

2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 770 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready

120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW)

1TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 32MB CACHE

CORSAIR 650W RM SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET

Super Quiet 22dBA Triple Copper Heatpipe Intel CPU Cooler

Thanks in advance.

This lol, if you plan on OCing though get the K version

Looks like a solid build though ^^, I'd change the PSU for something like an XFX PSU tho

Just because it doesn't have a K at the end of it does not mean it can't be overclocked. All the K means is that it has an unlocked multiplier. Without the k you can still work with FSB and multiplier you just cant push the multiplier past the factory highs. Also I just had a guy bring me his i5-2500k the other day for an upgrade to the cooler because he was running in the 80c range playing WOW with a stock cooler... Educate before you flatulate

No need for i7 if primarily a gaming purposed rig

Well maybe his cpu is overclocked thats why. even if it isnt there must be something up cause i have the 4770 with stock cooler and i average easily around 35c. Also, I know that you can still somewhat overclock the cpu even though its doesnt have the k at the end. When I mean what i said before, was that it cant be overclocked to for example 4.2 ghz, thats what i meant

Is that 35c while you are looking at your desktop or during processor intensive gaming on a dual monitor 1440 setup, as in the example I gave... There is a lot of reasons for high heat other than overclocking
