Hi, I have found a restored XP pc for sale at 2500 pesos (approx $45). Quite cheap, as most XP rigs I see for sale online in my country are at around 9000 pesos.

That is a rare Pentium 4 which has CMPXCHG16b to allow running 64-bit Windows 10. 65nm dual-core, neat!

The only odd thing I see is it shows only 2GB is installed, so please verify with the seller that it does indeed show 3.5GB when 4GB is installed. 945PL is limited to 2GB max, but 945G is supposed to go up to 4GB (it cannot remap PCIE/APIC memory ranges to addresses above 4GB so installed hardware makes some of that memory unusable even in a 64-bit OS)

Please take my advice with a grain of salt, as i'm fairly dim when it comes to technical details. But if i lived there ... i'd have already bought it. It's nicer than my current PC (which is also an XP machine). You know what you want it for. The seller obviously put some real care into it. And for that kind of a price?

i say go for it! ^ ^

@ChimasLover46

nice to meet you, fellow XP enthusiast! :)

I'm dim on some technical details too, which is why posted it here for others to see.

but from what I'm seeing now, this is a fairly good deal already. Will try to contact the seller maybe tonight, ask if he could do meetups in the office I work at, and I'd just pay extra for his travel expense. There we could plug the pc, and test if it works.

hopefully, the rig is not sold yet, because the post is already 22 days old.
