Hey guys!
Soo.. My G19 isn't really dying but it's starting to make sounds, and it's keys are worn out, and I just feel as if it's old.
So I wanna buy a new keyboard. I need recommendations, and opinions about what is the best buy for me.
My list:
G19
Razer DeathStalker regular, not ultimate
Razer BlackWidow

That's all the keyboards I know :p

Requirements:
Backlit
DEDICATED multimedia keys
must be pretty, not an ugly shitty keyboard
I really, really don't care about how much it costs
Must be good enough to last YEARS like my G19 did.
Thanks alot for everyone who reply! :)
EDIT:
Before you reply, PLEASE check the other posts!

stay clear of razer keyboards they are crap. they suffer key rol over issues. that promise higher responce than normal keyboards but in actual fact are no better and in many cases worse especially 1s you get off the wasd keys. the roll over/antighost drops from 6 keys to under 4.
if you want quality the look at coolermaster/corsair/logitech/filco/q-pad/das
there are a couple of others but please dont buy razor as i say there crap.

Ok, will do
Can you give me an example, or a simple comparison, between the best of CM, Corsair and Logitech's keyboards?
Thanks!

That looks..
SICK!
Are the cherry black MX keys silence? Or will they make an annoying sound?
How reliable are AZIO?
What are those 6 keys attacked to the top?
I can't see backlighting - does it have it?
THANKS!

Ok so I have a little list made out:
G19
Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate
Thermaltake Meko G-UNIT (Mechanical, blue)
Razer Ultimate Stealth (brown)
Corsair K60 (red, but ugly as f**k)
Playing almost exclusively FPS games.
Which do you think is the best?

Lol, yea it does.
No, the Cherry *Red* is the most quiet switch.
Honestly, I've never owned one, but this one is on my list;
I'm researching it now.
That's a Macro D-Pad.
Only the Macro area's & the Volume control area is backlit.
Besides the Cherry MX Switch, that's the Only other thing I Don't like about this keyboard so far.
Here's a link to the AZIO Site, it gives u alot more details about it than the "stores" do ->
http://www.aziocorp.com/product/keyboards/wiredkbmain/kb577u.htm

bit of a disappointment is the azio. it just says anti ghosting so i would guess and it is a guess it will be a minimum of 6 keys, which is the absolute minimum needed for fps gamers. looks arnt everything.

as for your checklist the meka g-unit was 1 of my choices but the lack of nkrol was the deciding factor for me.
Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate uses plunger switches which sit on a membrane so there not mechanical keyboards.
the razer is bells and whistles and utter garbage.
so honestly i wouldn't buy any of em.
as your a logitech fan check out there own mechanical keyboard. its not brilliant but its better than the razor 1s.
also has macro keys. although as an fps player i dont know why you would need em.

seriously mate you want basic fast functionality not lots of bells and whistles that get between you and the game.
a basic backlit keyboard is all you need for fps gaming.
cherry reds and cherry blacks are also the better choices. blacks if your heavy handed. reds if you want to learn to lighten your touch. either way both will likely need after market O rings fitted to quieten the keystrokes.

Ok, Logitech is a great brand, very reliable
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/g19-keyboard-for-gaming
Thermaltake, also a good brand
Challenger - http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/store/Product.aspx?C=1154&SC=1165&ID=1510#Tab0
Meka - http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/store/Product.aspx?C=1154&SC=1165&ID=1680#Tab0
I don't know much about Razer, but I've heard some bad reviews, I'll have to do some research on that brand - http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads
Corsair, good brand, if ur gonna go with it, I'd go with the K90 though - http://www.corsair.com/gaming-peripherals/gaming-keyboards/vengeance-k90-performance-mmo-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html
I don't play alot of FPS's, I'm more into RPG's, so u will have to make ur own judgment on that.
If I had to choose one of these options for myself, it'd be either the *G19* or the K90.
:) Good Luck. I hope u find what ur looking for, & ur Happy with ur choice.

Didn't like it that much
I did put a REALLY huge eye on the Roccat Ryos PRO. Looks AMAZING!

yes its very nice looking. but i have an issue with the 150 price tag. it seems very low for what is inside.
its unlikely to be a good gaming keyboard for a couple of reasons. (i may be wrong as i have only read up on it and not tried it)
instead of you hitting a key and that input being sent as quickly as possible to the pc the roccat reads a key sends it to a cpu in the keyboard. which processes the input and then sends it on to the pc.
in this case im thinking theres to many cooks.
i would love to try 1 out to see if theres any lag input and such.
it seems to me like theres just to much between your finger and the end product of what happens on screen.
it looks grate but does seem very gimmicky and experience tells me when stuff has lots of gimmicks you know its lacking somewhere in a major way.

True, but the two proccessors are designed for the profile switching, macro recording, calculating lighting, etc, not the actual key presses. It's a 1KHz keyboard, and in the video previews, it doesnt seem to have ANYTHING.
Also good, is that it comes in what ever Cherry color I want

If you want something to last years like a G19, you will probably need to go mechanical.
If you also want the backlits and multimedia you are most likely going to have to go for a corsair Vengance K90.

As far as i know, standards have gone down in electronics since the economical recession, so the keyboards tend to break a lot faster nowdays.

I have a G11 that is about 5 years old, and after washing the keyboard in the washing machine is like brand new except for a few paint scraches due to the heat of the washing machine.

As far as i know, all other keyboards people complain about die within the first year, or at least beocme non-responsive.

Mechanical are the only keyboards that seem to be relativly save from this since they are planned for abussive users, but the price you will be looking at is going to be high.

I know. Im just looking for the best mechanical keyboard I can get. I was considering the K60 over the K90 because it has no macro keys. I loath macro keys. Hate them with all my heart... But the K60 only has one wrist rest, which is unacceptable, as this is gonna be my only keyboard, which means it's gonna be a two handing typing machine. I need something with little to no macro keys, looks decent (K90 is damn ugly, K60 is somewhat acceptable) and has backlighting and dedicated multimedia keys.

there aint much out there with multimedia keys. most gaming keybaords have macro keys but you can reprogram them to be media keys.
the reason is there just not normaly requested on gaming keyboards. more often than not you will find them on office keyboards so that may be where you need to look rather than gaming grade.
there are plenty off office suppliers that do mechanical.
cherry, ducky/das all do em. i dunno if they have media keys but there worth looking into.

the closest mt q-pad mk85 comes is an FN key pressed in combo with F1 to F6 for play fast forward and so on. no mail key or open browser key although i can set em up with the software. just its a pain and i dont use it, i dodnt even have the keyboard software installed. just the driver.
