Hello,

Our router keeps dropping offline every so often. Its a netgear gear WNR3500. I have time warner cable and this modem is just the one that comes with time warner cable. I would like to know why this is happening. It is very annoying and the only thing that fixes it it unplugging everything. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,
Caleb

Could you please bring up the Command Prompt - in XP Start>Run - later versions Search>Run) and at the prompt, type the following:-
cmd /k ipconfig /all
then press Enter. Right click anywhere in the black form and choose SelectAll then press Control and C together. To reproduce that in a Post an Answer form here is to press Control and V, then you can add anything you like to the message. With that information, someone will be along to help.

In Control panel>Device Manager>Network Adapters>Ethernet Adapter, under the Power Management tab, is there a tick in "Allow the computer to turn this device off to save power"? If so, remove it, click Apply then OK and see if that helps it remain on for longer.
