I would like yo buy a nvidea 4080 super most likely a MSI gpu. These are my concerns. The 4080 has 16GB of memory where gpus like the 7900xtx has 24. But I have read and a friend of mine have had terrible drivers resulting in freezes and crashes. So if I get a 4080 super would it run a 34in 3440x1440 165hz monitor? Would 16GB of memory be enough for say 3 to 5 years? Also from what I have read the 7900xtx is faster than the 4080 but not by much is this true? Thanks.

My pc specs
i7-13700
MSI z690 force motherboard
32GB ram
evga 1070ti
windows 11
1000w psu

I swapped from Nvidia to AMD in late 2022. First, and RX 6800 XT, it caused system crashes. I thought it was the GPU, so I swapped to an RX 6950 XT. Same issue. Crashes come and go. But I'm somewhat done with AMD GPUs. I'm looking to purchase an Nvidia GPU myself, and 16GB should be plenty. It's unfortunate Nvidia GPUs cost more; however, if AMD doesn't work then...

I'm just not trusting of AMD anymore.

Thanks everyone. I really would like to go with MSI, with that said any of these MSI 4080 supers OC any better than the other? Also any other particular brand that stands out?

The 4080 supper GPU have the same specs and such just that each branding put there own twist on things like more better cooling features and overclocks and such. MSI and Asus Are good brands
