Well I am ready for a new gaming rig...actually my first dedicated gaming rig, and this time I want to build it myself. Something a little future proof. Although never having done this before I need some proof reading of my component compatibility. So here I will list what I have in mind and any feedback is extremely appreciated. Also, feel free to suggest substitute components if you feel it will better the system or if there is a easy opportunity to cut cost without significantly affecting performance.

Motherboard: Need some suggestions on this one.
Additionally, I was wondering if someone could recommend a good gaming monitor that would compliment this system- looking for a 23 - 24" for about $200 - $300 (not included in the pc budget).
Thank you
