Need some RAM counseling!

First of all, this these two are part of my planned build:
CPU : FX-6300
GPU : PowerColor 7850 2GB (tentative)

And now my dilemma.
When I was first choosing on which set of RAM to buy, I went with this first.

I initially chose it because I was familiar with the brand, it looked nice, and it was red (which matches the theme of my build). After some consideration, I looked into other sticks and found that G. Skill offered equally reputable RAM, and that this one was cheaper.
Edit: Changed the link, I accidentally linked the same product twice

Were they to be the same price, which one brand would be more reliable? And is there much of a difference in performance if I found another set of RAM with a CAS latency that was less by say, 1( 9 --> 8 )?

Please give me the 101 on RAM. Thanks!

Of course lower latency would mean better performance, but the difference is so small, it's not worth it. You would never notice it, even in benchmarks. So my advice: instead of lower latency, or higher frequency, better get larger capacity RAM, or even better, get a decent SSD.

As for the brand, both of them are top producers, you can't go wrong with either of them. I bought blue vengeance to match my motherboard instead of some slightly cheaper Mushkins, but you are the one defining your own priorities (price vs. color matching).

I'm considering around 64- 124GB of SSD if my budget allows me to get them.
I don't mind my RAM being black either, so I could stretch for the same MHZ but lower CL.
Any recommendations?
