Need suggestion about a 2TB Hard drive

Hello,

I got an old WD Blue HDD (500GB capacity) and its 5 years old but still running very good!

But nowadays, I can see 500GB is not enough anymore. So I want to buy a new HDD with a capacity of 2TB. So, anyone has a good suggestion about which brand will be better here? as you can see I've good experience with WD.

what will you be using it for? just storage or as your OS drive? Is just storage get a Blue, if OS get a Black

Hey nighter.next, from our options, for a general use 2TB drive, the fit from our offerings here would be a BarraCuda:

ST2000DM006 if you're on a desktop. (3.5")

or if you're running a laptop, then ST2000LM015. (2.5", 7mm height)

If you're looking to keep current drive and just add extra storage/backup, you could also take a look at going with an external USB 2TB like the Expansion Portable or Backup Plus. Talking pricing is overall kind of a no-no for our team, however sometimes external drives can be found at a more wallet-friendly point than their internal counterparts.

Go for a ssd/hdd hybrid.. faster load times and they are pretty cheap
