need suggestion on psu

ok, i got an antec case, it came with a 380w high efficiency psu. my question is ive got an x-connect 500w modular psu sitting here, im wondering if i should use that instead...what would u do? my other question is the pci-i cable has a missing pin on pcie side and the psu side, is this normal?

ok heres my specs:
a64 3700
1gb kingston
7800gt
2x100gb sata 2 drives
dvdrw
several fans.

yeah on the end that plugs into the card theres a pin missing on the inside of the connector

stick with the Antec if it doesnt power ur PC or there are issues use the other one, it'll save u some hassle
