Need suggestions please

Hello I'm looking to install a video card in my computer. I bought the computer for 60 bucks at a bulk recycling place. Anyway the computer is a decent computer for the price just doesn't have a vid card and runs on integrated. Thing is I don't need a super nice one or anything. I just want one thats decent and will make most games atleast playable. I don't care if its old or used or whatever. Also I want to keep it around 40-60 dollar price range. Any suggestions?

Computer specs:
Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 3
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
3GB RAMM
300W power supply
pci-express x16 (kind of surprised me, also in cpu-z doesnt show up but when I opened case right above the slot it says pci-express x16)

Is there any other info needed?

Hopefully someone can help me out here. Would really appreciate some input.

your specs seem to fit just fine with that card, unless its a slim pc you have, then you have to get a low profile card, but it should play some modern games at medium graphics if thats all you want but other than for gaming the 5570 is an amazing card. If you're willing to go slightly over your budget then you can get this:

It's a 5670 which makes a big difference in gaming compared to the 5570 and its only $69.99

As said above, a 5570 or 5670 would be a good fit. There's no sense in getting anything more powerful, as that CPU will bottleneck faster cards. Be advised that the Pentium 4 is below minimum spec for most current games, so don't expect to be able to play the latest titles, even with a graphics upgrade. Almost all current titles require at least a dual core CPU. Most stuff from 2007 and earlier should be quite playable with a graphics upgrade though.

I would be a bit wary of getting the 5670 without a new PSU though, that computer is on the old side, and capacitor aging may mean that the your current power supply may not be able to support a 5670.

Yeah i should have thought about that, if you're willing to spend a little more for a new psu i found 2 that should do well:

this is just to replace your aging psu or if you want to have a cheap psu that will work with the 5670
