I have an old Dell laptop from the early 2000's that crashed a long time ago. I want to hook up my hard drive from it to my desktop. The problem lies with the type of connection it has. I have searched and can't find a way to hook it up as it has a weird connector. Here is a link to the hard drive which has pictures of the connectors.

Please help, I have old pictures that I would love to recover.

Hi there Necrobot20XX,

Yeah, I would agree with the other guys. You can use some USB - IDE adapter.

If you can't access the drive right away, you need to go to Disk Management and see how it appears over there. You may need to use some data recovery tool: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893

If the drive is nowhere to be recognized and if the data stored on it is important, then you may need to contact a data recovery company.

The picture looks like the wrong kind of connectors than the hard drive I have.
