Hey I have a SB Live soundcard and i was wondering can somebody give me your opinions on this 1000W 7 Pieces Speakers from Hugebee.
Here's the link http://www.hugebee.com/products/speakers/jstw1000w.htm

Can u tell me if it's good or not? Please give me some comments on what i need to know before i buy new speakers. I don't have that much money. If this speaker is not good, what speakers should i buy (4.1 sound)? Thank you in advance!

First of all they're not 1000w really they really are

5w X 2
and For the sub 30w X 1

at max that's only 40w RMS
P.M.P.O or peak music power output is the max power that the amp will put out for ex. during peaks of the song.

They probably aren't bad but they aren't 1000w.

My system: <A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?rigid=8946" target="_new">http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?rigid=8946</A>

I own these, and they aren't bad, but they definitely aren't 1000w.
But don't ever, EVER, <font color=red>EVER</font color=red> order from this company. They are the same as InternetIShop.com. Look them up <A HREF="http://www.resellerratings.com" target="_new">here</A> and you'll see my experience with them.

Oh, and by the way, it's not really 7 pieces. The two stacked speakers swivel, but don't separate.

thanx for your comments.
Any of you heard of the new Creative Inspire??? It is 5.1 speakers. I was wondering if it's good.
Is there a way i can get the speakers to work with my digital port on my sb live! ? U think i should buy the new sb audigy?

Creative's speakers are generally pretty good (and would hopefully work correctly with Creative sound cards :)

$81 from Newegg.com, not a bad price at all for 5.1 speakers. 18w is not that much, though. And the frequency response starts at 47Hz, meaning you'll lose a decent amount of the bass.
They're probably good for the price, but you wouldn't regret going top-of-the-line.

If you want the full experience, I suggest getting a decent Receiver (make sure that it has 6 channell hookups)some medium to high value bookcase style speakers, and wire your sound this way. I have been doing this for years and I can garrenttee you that my system puts to shame any computer speaker combo that you can come up with. I have a Teac AG-D9320 receiver, and 5 speakers (Bose for mains, Sony's for surround, and JBL for center channel) in all, this 100 watts per channel dolby digital sound set up only cost me $550. I would venture to say that you could even get it cheaper than this if you skimp out on the speakers.

If it works for you then don't fix it.

There's something about being able to say "my speaker system puts out a kilowatt of power".

It's like fighter geeks being able to say "my radar system puts out 1.5 megawatts of power).

<font color=blue>I hacked Msft, and all I got was this lousy source code.....</font color=blue>

I agree with Arsend. Computer speakers are generally overpriced and underpowerd.

And remember, ejsmith, that's PMPO (Peak Music Power Output). In other words, that's the most you could ever squeak out in peak. Usually it's far, far less than that on a day-to-day basis.

Sorry about the confusion on that one. I'll redo it:

<sarcasm>There's something about being able to say "my speaker system puts out a kilowatt of power".</sarcasm>

It's like fighter geeks being able to say <gomer>"my radar system puts out 1.5 megawatts of power".</gomer>

<font color=red>Apocalypse; Now.</font color=red>

there is nothing great at all about saying that unless you can quote a descent efficiency rating to go with your KW.

Well, you have to try to understand what they are implying, because they don't really say the total output. That's 5w x2 for the double high sattelights. Which should be 5w x1 for the rears. So that's 10+10+5+5+30=60, but I'm really guessing at it by trying to fill in the gaps.

Back to you Tom...
