Whats the best reliable affordable router to buy that I can connect my DSL modem to and two desktop computers to? I.E. at least 1 WAN port and 2 LAN ports in the router. I want to connect 2 desktop computers to my incoming DSL line. Im not a techie.

Thanks a bunch:)

I have been happy with my D-Link router I purchased at Best Buy. It was the cheapest of the bunch to offer a wireless signal and so far I have had zero problems with it. I tried the linksys brand before setteling on the D-Link and was unimpressed by its large size and confusing setup. It was also more expensive and didnt offer anymore signal strength. Id say go for a cheap D-Link but always be prepared to return the thing. Routers are notorious for being DOA.

If you are looking for something cheap get a lynxis I think that is how you spell it. No i mean: Linksys and like ^ said routers arrive broken.

I use an MSI RG54G2 Wireless 11g Broadband Router on one PC, which distributes my internet connection to 2 pcs, both equipped with MSI PC54G2 wireless network cards on the second floor of our house. I get excellent connection quality, considering a distance of around 25ft, with partially-concreted walls ; though I believe D-Link (which was actually my first choice, but the store didn't have any more on stock) has faster stuff now that have even wider area coverage. Nevertheless, I'm happy with my MSI router and cards.

My friends have tried D-Link and they can attest to its great performance. Do consider also the distance between your PCs and other obstructions (if any) such as walls.

Hope this helps...
