Hello,

I have a question that may seem silly, but I wanted to ask anyways. I just built my gaming
PC and with some software it asks me to install the older .net framework 3.5. I don't know much of this topic, would someone be willing to enlighten me on this topic? My main questions are:

1.Will installing older framework do any harm or take away from whichever newer one I am currently running?
2.Can I have both installed at the same time?
3,Can I be using both at the same time?

Thank you in advanced for you time.

1. No - you can (and probably already do) have multiple .NET version installed. Installing an older version won't interfere with a newer one - most (newer) programs will work with whatever the latest one you have installed - older programs won't "know" about the newer version and will "ask" for an older version to use. (Good quick read for the older 1.0 > 3.5 versions: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2009/04/20/9557946.aspx) 4.5 and 4.6 work the same way.

2. Yes

3. Yes
