NET Framework

Hello,
I've purchased a product on line which requires the above to be installed, yet though I have installed the software I repeatedly get the same error message 'this application cannot run without NET Framework being installed' I'm not computer savy any ideas please Simon (have a great day)

Hello, Simon and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

If you go to Microsoft's website and search for .Net Framwork 4 then download it to your Desktop, you'll have a file called dotnetfx. Double click that and you'll install the latest version and if your new software doesn't like that one, there's something wrong with it.

Or you can do it via Windows Update... you should probably download all of them, since some software require different versions of .NET to be installed.
