Someone gave me a netcard. It doesn't plug into a pci slot. It has a cable coming off it. I don't see anywhere to plug in the cable. Anyone know where it goes? Do it need a different motherboard?

It is not isa, there isn't anything there, just a cable. The cable is 10 prong. THe card is small, and i can't find any make or model. It reads PCNET and HT2001 0012. I don't know what that means.

I believe what you have is an on board lan header - it's proprietary and will only work with the motherboard it originally came with. Do you have the board?

I'd also say its for onboard lan, is the item you have a cable with a plug on one end and a plate that scres onto the back of the pc (looks from the back like any ohter add in card) ?

Yeah that's what it looks like. I don't have the board. So, I guess it won't work. Thanks for letting me know.
