netgear 4500 router flashing but can't reflash firmware

Internet was working but smart TV couldn't get internet. Tried reset, now power button flashing. Before I tried it I noticed light by smart TV port was orange, not green. Now I get nothing. Tried using net genie but it says computer not connected to router, but it is. Downloaded firmware update but can't go to router login because I can't connect through router. . No idea what to do.

I am so glad it worked for you. I don't know if you or your husband are the technical sort, but I do all that stuff around here for everyone and I'll be glad to help you with any computer/internet/router stuff in the future. It's easier since our hardware is similar.

We just had some people in the hospital and it sucks, I hope you two do well and your hubby makes a good recovery.

Oh dear lord it worked and so does the wifi. I can't thank you enough. Now to get the smart TV online. I saw that there were a great many posts about Samsung Smart TV users having difficulty today
