Running windows XP Home Gateway Laptop. Intalled Software,
inserted card and won't find new hardware. Contacted
gateway they checked controller and said it works fine.
They suggested re-intall XP or send in for repair.
Thoughts?

Did you buy the card from Gateway or a store.

If Gateway, send the Laptop in for repair.

If a store go in and get them to provide an alternate Card, take the Laptop
with you and make sure it works.

If the new card fails to work, that in some cases a repair install of
Windows will assist.

Hello

Well that's pretty good words from gateway, or you can remove
all drivers or software you installed for the card, reboot pc and
then try to re-insert and see if Win XP will see it.
