Network camera question related to ftp, or video stream on..

Thank you for taking the time of reading this message.

I bought a network camera and after many conversation with the
manufacturer I was able to sent live video stream to a rented website
(geocities)using only a javascript they sent me.

It looks great and I like it but ...
This is a fixed camera. I wonder if there is a camera that do tilt,
pan and zoom and it does all with javascript.

Does the ability of the camera to do FTP is necessary to do this or
not?

Orite cam - looks pretty good
guest/guest log/pass

dont see any reason for that cam to need ftp capabilities,
it supplies Jscript & video or pics direct from your cam via your ip/port

I know now that you can see a video stream camera on a rented webpage
without the need of a pc or a webserver.

Question:
Do you know any network camera that can do the pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ)
utilizing just javascripts? And that I can put the video on my rented
webpage?

If you want to embed the live stream of your network camera, you should try www.Streamby.com.

This way you are actually hosting your camera and you allow multiple viewers with no problems, on top of having a plug-in free - flash format stream. Of course provided they support your camera, but their list is quite long.

Once you register your camera you can just copy paste the embed code to your website.

An old post, but still quite current, given I was searching for this solution for a while.
