Network places missing

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage (More info?)

How do I get the "Network places" to appear in the start menu? Some
computers have it but the rest have "My Computer"

Put a checkmark near "My Network Places" in Start Menu Properties.
