Question Network slowdown question.

My son is running a Bell Home Hub 3000, with a 1/2 gig download speed. The WIFI seems fast, not quite up to what he's paying for but seem to be the rule. His problem is that the ethernet connected devices are running slow. He has about 10 devices attached to the Hub, but when he is watching TV and his wife is doing a video call the TV slows to about a 2 M download speed. Can it be that the router portion of the hub can't support 10 devices. He's OK to move to any other platform as he's not committed to Bell, he's looking for what is best at the moment.
So 10 devices, (2 cell, 2 shield, 3 desktop, 2 Smart TV, printer)
What should he get, or is it a Bell problem that they seem to be brushing off for his calls?

Thanks, I'm going over to his place tomorrow afternoon to check things out. He tells me he is also using several EoP units so that could well factor in also.
