I have been trying to get my ethernet to work on my desktop. I have plugged it into a known good switch, with a known good cable. I've also tried to bypass the switch by going straight to my router and still no luck. I have made sure that my LAN controller is enabled in BIOS, the adapter never shows up in device manager (even under the disabled drivers section,) I also get no link lights when I plug an ethernet cord into my PC.
I have tried to clear my BIOS with the BIOS reset header on my MOBO, I have reinstalled the drivers twice now from the manufactures website. I've ran windows troubleshooter and they can't find anything (likely because it's not picking up the driver.) I did put in a ticket with Gigabyte support, however with their track record it'll take them some time to get back with me.
My Wi-Fi does work for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, just looking to limit some packet loss and network issues while gaming.
Hardware information:
MOBO: Gigabyte z590 Aorus Elite AX
CPU: Intel i5-11400F
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance (2x 8gb sticks)
Windows Version: Windows 10 Pro 22H2
