hello, I suspect my old mobo gigabyte z77-d3h died ( 2 months after waranty expiration ) and I am looking for a new mobo for my I7 3770 (non K), gtx 980 and 1 240gb samsung evo ssd and 8gb ram ddr3 1600mhz. I know that it would be the best to sell i7 3770 and buy 1151 mobo, dd4 and 6700 cpu, but it is kinda the last option ( and expensive one ) I want to take. I am not even 100% sure my old mobo is dead yet, more likely 98% sure.
It is kinda hard these days to buy decent mobo for 1155 socket, I can get my hands on new Sapphire Pure Black Hydra P67, seems decent, except the 2.0 x16 PCe slot, will it slow my GPU a lot ? I am a gamer, I dont need ultra details since I play on 2560x1440 screen, high details @60fps r fine for me, I just hope 2.0 wont slow my gpu much.
thank you

Actually the 3770 still has some life in it so I think it is worth putting money into. It is still a top tier CPU so plenty of life, no significant upgrade at this point.

No incompatibility issues between the 3770 and the mobo, you may have to update the BIOS but I suspect that you won't. You can click on the link below to see yourself.

The difference you will see between PCIe 2.0 and 3.0 is very small, it is really not a consideration for a single GPU.

I think if you found a mobo at a decent price you are good to go.
