According to Anandtech, you can get an 8086K/GTX1080Ti combo for less...

They said markup was about $250, and all parts seemed name brand in a quick review/summary of 'who's who' in the build...(although I'd think 3200 MHz RAM would be the new minimum standard, frankly)

AMD is solid but theres no way he will get better gaming performance with a 2700X on stock cooler versus a 8700K with an AIO.

Now add the price of a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the total and see if it's still less.
Furthermore, add the cost of an insurance for it too since that trash tier PSU will 100% blow it up the second that 1 year component warranty ends.
