hey guys, ive got today my 5800x3d which replaces my 3700x on the same system.
full specs:
5800x3d
Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite @ latest bios (f37d)
4*8gb ram (32gb) @ xms2 3200mhz @ cl16 1T
ASUS 3080TI
Gigabyte 3070 (for mining, not using it yet but it IS installed)
1300W eVGA fully modular PSU 80+ gold
i hope im not forgetting something important
so first, i booted fully stock, things would run but temps (ccd especially) hit 91.5 pretty often. running prime95 was impossible. the pc would freeze.
turned off cpu boost (not pbo, i dont think my mobo has pbo its called something else) - then everything ran nice and cool at about 65c and prime would run too.
undervolted the SoC and VDDC via bios a little, now prime95 runs, but im hitting 90c again.... what gives? im running a 240mm water cooling system, which kept my 3700x stock at a nice 64c at prime95... should i be worried? why is my pc unstable (only at prime to be honest but its fully unnerving me due to the fact this is FULLY STOCK bios settings)
is my bios maybe the root cause? whats going on here?
any help or input would be very appreciated
thanks
