Came across a brand new Asrock z77 Extreme 4 at a yard sale . Still in original sealed box and picked it up for a song and a dance . Its my understanding that the z series boards are used for over clocking . I have a stock i7 3770 from a previous build that I would like to use with this board until I can scrape together enough money to get an 3770ok , which I intend to do . Is this feasible and does anyone see any issues ? Over the last year and half I've scrounged for this build , 850 Evo SSD , 1 Tb W/D black HDD , i7 3770 , 16 gig Adata ram , Strix 750 Ti , a bunch of 120 , 140 mm fans W/ 4 eyes fan controller and a Deep Silence 1 case . This mobo was the icing on the cake and I hope it all go's together without to much trouble . Thanks in advance .

Solution
It's perfectly suited. The Core i7-3770 (non-K) is limited unlocked, so you will only be able to overclock it by 0.4 GHz. But that's still a decent bump over stock clocks; the K model won't really go that much higher.
