Question New AT2040 is painfully quiet even on full volume

I recently bought a new AT2040 microphone and upon hooking it up it is super quiet and I have to have everything turned up to max to get the volume to just below average volume level. I have the volume in windows turned up to max(100), I have it plugged in through a Behringer UM2 with the gain knob set to max, and I even have a filter in OBS to add an extra 2 decibels to gain, how can it still be quiet? I'm listening to the playback in my editing software. I understand its a dynamic microphone so I'm talking into it the right way and very close to it(licking distance), still no luck. It makes no sense.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

One possible reason is TS, TRS, TRRS.

There may be some mismatch in the connections between the AT2040, the Behringer UM2, and the host computer.

Could be a physical mismatch (plugs/ports) or a standards mismatch. Or both.
