Question New budget gaming PC ~$800

Hello, I'm putting together a gaming PC for a relative.

• The main focus will be value. For now only the PC itself is relevant.
• I'll take care of monitor and peripherals later.
• I live in Denmark so US/UK rebates won't carry over.

I've made a build you can use as a starting point. Please tell me if anything could be better:

The 2 things I'm in doubt about is:

• If I should sacrifice a bit more on the GPU... but the step from 1650 Super to 1660 Super is a bit expensive
• If I could get a better mobo. The threads I read about MOBOs were not very helpful with B450 boards(Bazooka Max Wifi is $100 here). I don't like building Micro ATX in an ATX case either. I remember seeing a hierarchy for MOBOs. The main criteria are B450 and under $100.

... I'm open to any suggestions for changes.

PCPartPicker has an option for Denmark in the drop down menu for locations/region on the top right hand corner. You can modify your list and check back with us, instead of having to jump through hoops for parts unless you're not getting the same parts in Denmark...?

I'd try and pick something from Seasonic as opposed to that CV unit, SSD could use a change, maybe more budget oriented, to get their feet wet.

The Danish version is very lacking in details. Half the hardware has no price at all.
In Denmark we use:

pricerunner.dk
or just google shopping.

None of them are very convenient, but that's how I got the build I have now. You're absolutely right that I have to jump through hoops, but I'm used to it. If I don't keep it relatively simple it becomes tough for others to weigh in. The prices are mostly for your reference. The ones I get are different, even for other people in Denmark.

Do you have a suggestion for a different SSD? I chose that one to avoid going ssd+hdd.
Seasonic is pretty expensive here, but I'll see if I can find one.

EDIT: Seasonic Core GC-500 for 78 USD maybe.

The CPU is obviously slower, but the GPU should be faster.
Don't dismiss the CPU entirely because of its age though. When overclocked I haven't seen a game it couldn't run at decent graphics and framerate yet. I ultimately upgraded because I wanted to play at 4k and with VR.

Helped me tweak a few pieces. I don't need 600W or extra storage though. The user is a 10 year old who plays 1 game at a time. Can save 450kr there and another 550kr by buying at the cheapest vendors.

PCPartPicker really doesn't find the stores very well in Denmark. Actually, none of the stores it found are Danish companies. CDON and DustinHome just have a Danish department and Alternate is a German store that ships to Denmark.
Popular Danish hardware stores would be: Proshop.dk | computersalg.dk | fcomputer.dk | compumail.dk | komplett.dk
Retail stores with hardware are: elgiganten.dk | power.dk | merlin.dk

The 3 stores it chose from are definitely viable. It's just not often they have the best price and they definitely don't have the widest selection.
