Hi, I recently built a new computer and when I'm gaming it will work for 10 mins then the computer will restart which is because of the overheating as the computer feels really hot, and exhaust fan doesn't seem to been kicking out the hot air and actually feels like its sucking in air and I also tried flipping it, and it is still doing the same thing, all the hot air seems to be coming out through the top of the pc as heat rises, so I was wondering if it was worth buying two exhaust fans for the roof of the case or if I need a different PC case? Also, I'm in the UK.

I now have the CPU Cooler Fan facing the correct way.

You have remounted one of the CPU cooler fans. Check that BOTH are mounted so that each blows through its rad towards the REAR of the case.

Now that those fans are correct, check again how the air flow is out of the rear case fan. It should be clearly blowing OUT.

All four supplied case fans connect to a single fan power point "hub". Is there any button on the case front that is supposed to let you control those fans' speeds? If so, ensure it is set to max speed.

When you installed the CPU cooler unit, there should have been a protective clear plastic cover over the pre-installed thermal paste on its bottom plate. That MUST be removed before you mount it on the CPU chip. Did you do that?

Hi, yeah both CPU fans are now both facing towards the rear of the case, but I can't feel much air coming out of my exhaust fan like before but the only button it has is the reset button which controls the colour of the fans and also I did remove the plastic cover on bottom of the plate on the CPU Cooler.

I think I have resolved the issue as I changed the thermal paste on the CPU cooler and I also discovered a little bit of fluff or a bit of plastic wrapped around the pin that the exhaust fan was plugged into, but I will post again tomorrow with an update.

my temps keep fluctuating when idle dropping to 45 then shooting up to 70 and 80 why is it doing this?
Even when "idle", background tasks will pop up and run for a few seconds, which can be enough to raise temperatures. If you monitor Processes in Task Manager or CPU in Resource Monitor, you might be able to work out what's happening.

During long video transcodes (10 to 36 hours) my 7950X sits between 85 and 92°C on a Noctua NH-D15. I'd get a few (hundred?) more MHz out of big AIO cooling, but I doubt there'd be a big temperature reduction when the CPU is maxed out.

Modern CPUs are designed to boost up to the manufacturer's limit of +89/90/95°C (AMD) or +100°C (Intel). In contrast, my old Athlon II X4 965 has a maximum temperature limit of +60°C.

I now have a new update my computer blue screened during a windows update and kept turning off after a while and restarting and bugging out and so I decided to reinstall windows as someone told me about the windows 11 update the MH24 I think that causes these issues so I deleted windows off my computer when trying to fresh install and then I couldn't reinstall windows at all as I kept getting installation failed until I manged to almost install it on my ssd after trying and failing with my M2 Drive and then the computer got stuck in a boot loop and then the monitor just kept going in to stand by while it's connected to the motherboard, I'm so confused I don't know what is going on with my new computer I really need help.
