Building a new rig, all parts should be here by tomorrow. Need some advice on how to set up the fans for best airflow.

-Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 case

-Phanteks CPU Cooler

I have 3 120mm fans I planned on putting in the front with the 2 140mm on the top. Few questions.

- Should I make the rear fan a intake?

- With the top as exhaust and the large cpu cooler, will the be enough airflow?

- Should I get a 3rd fan for the cpu cooler, what directions should I face them?

Any thoughts on fan placement, direction and overall cooling would be apperciated.

Sticking with all air cooling for now, I do plan to overclock.

Solution
Id place one 120mm fan to floor. (not sure if that case have this option)
Then Remove the rear fan comletely. If it do not waork then you can try to stop air flow from that hole. Then you have two front fan (or 3) on on floor two exhaust fans on top.
Then cpu fan you mount to blow air towards top of that case. Remember that you can stop air from side 120mm front fan. This is maybe good thin to do. You can try.
Then you have better pressure in case and better air flow.

I think it is more than enough.

You can try how it works without fan. If cpu comes too...

You can try how it works without fan. If cpu comes too hot then buy a fan.

Hope this did help :) Good luck !
