Hi, I'm building a PC for my colleague, specs below:

MSI A320M Gaming Pro
Ryzen 5 5500
2 x 8Gb Kingston Savage 2800MHz
EVGA Supernova 750W Gold

I used a Ryzen 3 1200 to update the bios to the last beta version as it was stated on the support page, that was needed for the Ryzen 5 5500. It worked fine, I did some tests - superposition, heaven etc...

Then I put it on my shelf to wait for my colleague, we wanted to test the pc with Marvel rivals, I havent touched the pc for like 4-5 days before we plugged it in again for testing and it gave no signal out, CPU led stuck and there was no boot.

I tried to use the old R3 cpu, I tried to boot with different ram kits, single stick, tried to reset CMOS, different gpu (GTX1650), other corsair psu, ...

Nothing happened, it stuck on CPU led....

Then I borrowed a speaker from an older pc to check if we have any beep codes, but nothing. I took off the cooler, the cpu feels cold, its not even heating up.

Any idea what happened, the mobo bricked itself, or what's going on?

For the sake of relevance, you should mention the BIOS version you're on.

If the CPU's brand new, drop the processor onto another known working motherboard with the right BIOS version and see if the issue persists.

The CPU's probably conked out if it's not heating up. Either that or your board's gone South. The latter will be revealed if you drop the processor onto another motherboard.

Just an FYI, you shouldn't be pairing Ryzen 5000 series processors with entry level style motherboard that have a poor VRM design.
