Question New build from hell please help (No signal, USB ports won't work, power button doesn't shutdown pc)

This is my first time building a computer and I knew I would run into some hiccups but, this one I can't seem to find any answers to online. My pc is able to turn on, all fans are spinning, mobo light is on but, the usb ports won't work as well as the hdmi input. Also, I can't turn off my computer from pressing the power button. I've tried some troubleshooting such as switching out the ram, making sure everything is seated properly, no loose cables, my 3pin/4pin connectors are seated properly and still nothing. I don't even get the beep noting that bios has booted. I believe I may have a faulty motherboard but I would really like some guidance on this one because I really don't wanna have to get a new one so please help a kid out. Also my specs are below:

Ryzen 5 1600 Processor
ASUS Prime B350M-A moboASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Dual-Fan OC Edition

Have you worked through the POST sticky? It contains the most common issues:

The one thing I'm wary of with the Ryzen 1000 series is RAM compatibility, and the set of RAM you mention isn't on Asus' QVL for RAM. This is not to say it won't work, and perhaps the QVL on Asus' site is out of date, but something to be wary of.
