Approximate Purchase Date: During this week and next week.
Budget Range: £100 for PSU. £800-900 for entire build
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Discord, Surfing Web/Youtube/Twitch
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: PSU, possibly other parts if my component choices are bad.
Do you need to buy OS: I'm not sure... I've been told I can take my current copy of windows 10 off this old PC somehow and use it on my new one and upgrade it to 11, don't know if this is true or not though? Can't currently upgrade my current PC to 11 because it's too old/not good enough.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: No preference just as long as it's in the UK.
Location: UK, England.
Parts Preferences: No Preference.
Overclocking: Just going to use the automatic options that you can use for the RAM, CPU, GPU etc like XMP and what ever else the others are called where you just turn it on and forget about it. Won't be doing any manual overclocking.
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: Primary monitor: 1920x1080 144hz BenQ EX2510 For gaming. Secondary Monitor: 2560x1440 60hz Acer XF240H for Discord, Surfing web, watching youtube vidoes and twitch streamers etc.
Additional Comments: Not really interested in the pc case and/or components looking nice and matching etc, I'd rather the money goes towards performance over aesthetics
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My PC is like 8 years old and just struggles way too much to play games now, and when I do try to play a game on it I can't do anything else at the same time. I'm playing my two favourite games on my console but I'd really like to be able to play them on PC so I can be on Discord with friends at same time and listen to music etc and I prefer to play with mouse and keyboard.
I've already got a build put together which I'll put below and welcome any suggestions on changes etc. I've not bought any of the parts yet though as I'm trying to find a good PSU for £100 or less to go with it first but I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking out for in a good PSU and because I'm not fully confident on PC building was looking for feedback and suggestions first on all the other parts I've selected please.
I'm also going to be reusing my old 1660ti with the build as GPUs are too expensive right now.
My two favourite games are FFXIV and Destiny 2, I'm hoping to achieve 144fps 1080p with max setting or at least close to max? I'd also like to play other games like RPGS, MMOS and Shooters. I'm welcome to any suggestions on changes to parts I've already picked if needed as I'm honestly not very tech savvy, this will be my second build in like 8 years.
